About Sarah

With 15 years of experience in counseling, mental health, ministry, and related helping work, Sarah works with adults, adolescents, couples, families, and children when appropriate. She especially enjoys helping clients navigate anxiety, trauma, grief, postpartum concerns, and relationship or family difficulties. She has developed a particular heart for postpartum mothers and those walking through grief.

Sarah’s counseling approach is grounded in biblical truth and the Think Right / Emotional Check Engine Lights framework. She believes meaningful change involves God’s transforming work, personal responsibility, perseverance, and the consistent application of truth. She helps clients examine the thoughts and beliefs beneath emotional distress, identify where those thoughts may be distorted or untrue, and learn to respond in ways that align with Scripture rather than simply being led by emotion.

She especially values the practical nature of the Think Right framework. By helping clients slow down, identify what they’re feeling, examine the thoughts driving those emotions, and determine whether those thoughts are rooted in truth or a lie, the framework gives clients a structured way to practice taking thoughts captive and responding intentionally. Sarah has already found the journaling process and practical steps helpful for clients who feel stuck in repetitive negative thinking.

Scripture is the foundation of both Sarah’s personal life and her counseling. She views God’s Word as the ultimate authority for evaluating beliefs, decisions, priorities, relationships, and goals. While she draws from her clinical training and experience, biblical truth remains the standard that guides the counseling process.

Clients can expect Sarah to be compassionate, encouraging, authentic, practical, and creative. She strives to provide a supportive environment while also helping clients grow in self-awareness, take responsibility for their choices, strengthen their relationship with God, and move toward meaningful change that is consistent with biblical truth.
